Choose B2B vs B2C
B2B (selling to businesses) is often easier—getting $5,000 from one company is simpler than $10 from 500 individuals. Businesses have budgets for solving problems. B2C requires huge marketing budgets and viral growth, making it very hard for a solo international founder without millions in funding.
In the U.S., investors and partners will ask: Out of 8 billion people, why are you the right person to solve this?
- Align your business with your "Unfair Advantages." This could be your degree, your work experience, or even your unique cultural background.
- If you are a Computer Science student, building a Code Review Tool is a good fit. Building a Fashion Boutique" has low fit. When your skills match the market, you can move 10x faster than everyone else.
