Help others on the journey and build your lasting impact.
Become a mentor
You don't need to be a CEO to mentor. If you're a Senior, mentor a Junior. Look for people in the position you were 2 years ago—offer resume reviews or mock interviews. Teaching helps you master skills, and the person you mentor becomes a 20-year contact. Keep an emergency 'Red Folder' with $1,500-2,000 for flights, visa copies, and lawyer contacts.
Lead in your community
Don't just attend events—help run them. Volunteer for non-profit boards or lead industry Special Interest Groups (Women in Tech, International Professionals). Community leadership is a green flag for EB-1 and EB-2 NIW Green Card applications—it proves 'Exceptional Ability' serving U.S. national interest.
